We’ve had a lot of requests for something like this(General purpose notification) and will look to implement it in the next major version.

I think it makes sense to have a dedicated function for this. We might add this in the next major version.

    Thank you

    Hi Francois,
This issue is a fairly complicated one that could potentially break existing code. We’ll be looking at implementing it in the next major version, so your issue will remain open. Other issues like yours that are complex or have the potential to break existing functions will be looked at in the following version and will remain open until then. Or if we decide we cannot support the request we’ll close it at that time and provide a reason.

The statement about closing issues was directed at users who have not followed up on requests for new logs or clarification.

    That’s a good find.
We have a github repo if you want to create an issue, or a pull request
    https://github.com/PSAppDeployToolkit/PSAppDeployToolkit

Or if not, let me know and I’ll work on those.

We’re hoping to release 3.6.9 this month, with mostly bug fixes. A lot of the functionality updates will come with 4.0 within the next few months.

What deployment tool are you using? SCCM, Landesk etc..

What happens when you try just running the script without deploy-application.exe ?

That’s an interesting idea, I’m going to look into it. If anyone tests it out, please let me know your results. Thanks

I modified you’re old comment. You should be good to go.

You’ll need to surround the product guid with quotes. There is an example in the documentation.
Look at my comment, I edited it a little while after posting it, and you might have tried one of the older versions.

Try single quotes too instead of double quotes when surrounding the product guid.

Ok, I’ve looked at it. can you please paste the commandline you’re using. It’s showing an issue with the value you’re passing to the Path parameter. There’s something wrong there.

For this, we’ll need more info on the installer.

Look at the documentation that Kaspersky provides and see how they suggest doing a silent uninstall. Once you know that we can help you build the proper command line

    Hey Kyle,
I’m not able to download that file now. If you can copy and paste the relevant info from the log to the comment section I can take a look. Otherwise we’ll need to wait until I’m home tonight.

    Try this please:
    Execute-MSI -Action Uninstall -Path “{7A4192A1-84C4-4E90-A31B-B4847CA8E23A}” -AddParameters “KLLOGIN=””KLAdmin”” KLPASSWD=””unload”””

be careful about copying pasting that, though, I’d suggest writing it out. Surround everything you’re passing to addparameters with double quotes, then use double double quotes within there to surround the values you’re passing the parameters.

Let me know how that goes
